The UT Martin Skyhawks and UNLV Rebels meet Tuesday in the college basketball action at the Enterprise Center. Here’s a UT Martin vs UNLV Prediction. This article will include a UT Martin vs UNLV Pick.

UT Martin Skyhawks Betting Preview

The UT Martin Skyhawks won 14 games last season and enter the second year under coach Jeremy Shulman. UT Martin has won double-digit games in each of the last three seasons.

Afan Trnka returns after averaging 8.3 points and 2.9 assists, while Andrija Bukumirovic averaged 6 points and 5 rebounds. Lamine Niang averaged 3.6 points and 0.1 assists, and Filip Radakovic played in 558 minutes last season. UT Martin says goodbye to its top-three scorers from last season, but there’s enough returning role players to think the Skyhawks can keep things afloat. Shulman should also be more comfortable with a season under his belt. Also, Trnka was solid in his first season and there’s hope he can take another step. UT Martin should have a decent season.

UNLV Rebels Betting Preview

The UNLV Rebels won 18 games last season and begin the Josh Pastner era. UNLV is breaking in an entire new coaching staff.

Jacob Bannarbie returns after averaging 1.6 points and 0.1 assists, and he’s the only returning player from last year’s squad. UNLV lost 14 players from last year’s team, most of them transferring. UNLV hit the transfer portal hard this offseason, which includes snagging Dravyn Gibbs-Lawhorn from Illinois, Ladji Dembele from Iowa and Emmanuel Stephen from Arizona. UNLV has had some decent recent seasons, but there’s reason to have questions with so much roster turnover and a brand-new coaching staff. Expect growing pains in the desert.

Why the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels will win

  • UNLV has won each of its last six night games against non-Conference opponents at Thomas & Mack Center.
  • UT Martin has lost 11 of its last 12 games against non-Conference opponents.
  • UT Martin has lost the first half in nine of its last 10 night games against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of UNLV’s last seven games at Thomas & Mack Center have produced a total of 141 or fewer points.
  • Eight of UT Martin’s last nine road night games against non-Conference opponents have produced a total of 148+ points.

UT Martin vs UNLV Injury Report

UT Martin doesn’t have a player listed on its injury report. UNLV will be without Myles Che, Emmanuel Stephen, and Issac Williamson. Ladji Dembele is questionable.

UT Martin vs UNLV Prediction

UNLV is going to get the benefit of the doubt because it’s at home and reputation. I’m sure UNLV is also the more talented team. However, this is a lot of points for a team breaking in a new coaching staff and a new roster. There are so many fresh faces on this UNLV team, we honestly have no idea what to expect. UT Martin obviously has issues of its own, but we’re also not being asked to lay double-digit chalk. Give me the points on Tuesday night.

Randy Chambers's Pick: UT Martin +17.5
