Jayhawks Looking To Rebound

Hunter Dickinson leads the Jayhawks in scoring and rebounding, averaging a double-double per game with 15.8 PPG and 10.1 RPG along with 2.4 APG while Zeke Mayo has 14.9 PPG with 4.3 RPG and 2.8 APG as the only other double-digit scorer for Kansas so far this season. Dajuan Harris Jr. has 9.6 PPG with 2.8 RPG and a team-high 5.8 APG to lead Kansas in assists so far this season. KJ Adams Jr. also has 8.2 PPG with 4.6 RPG and 2.3 APG as well for Kansas this season. • UCF has lost seven of its last eight games against AP-ranked opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Fourteen of Kansas’ last 15 games against non-AP-ranked opponents have produced a total of 150 or fewer points.
  • Each of UCF’s last three night games against the Big 12 Conference has produced a total of 168+ points.

UCF vs. Kansas Prediction

It’s an interesting battle of spots here, but I’m leaning towards Kansas. I know UCF is in a revenge spot after a 51-point demolition at the hands of Kansas in Orlando a few weeks ago, but once again, Kansas is off of a loss and a high-profile one at that to Houston, so I have to think the Jayhawks will be out for blood in this game. I just don’t think that UCF has the size inside to hold of Dickinson and Thiam is far too inexperienced to handle Dickinson either, as was the case in the first meeting. I’ll roll with Kansas at home in this game.

Chris Ruffolo's Pick: Kansas -13
