Tulsa Golden Hurricane Betting Preview
Tulsa opened up the season on an excellent run. The Golden Hurricane recorded just one loss over their first 14 outings, falling 84-83 in a tight road defeat versus Kansas State back on November 17. Since then it’s been a pair of losses to North Texas and South Florida, then another victory versus Charlotte this past week. In 17 games so far that gives Tulsa a 14-3 overall record in the books.
In the Charlotte road matchup back on Wednesday, the Golden Hurricane entered the second half sporting a 44-37 advantage. Tulsa didn’t let up from there, notching a 42-37 run the rest of the way in an 86-74 victory away from home. Tops in scoring was David Green with 21 points and three assists with a pair of rebounds. Tulsa vs UAB Prediction
I’ll try UAB in this one, but you could certainly make a case either way. The Blazers didn’t have too much trouble in a road matchup versus a pretty good Tulane team back on Wednesday, shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 94.4 percent (17-of-18) from the line. UAB added a 43-26 rebounding edge, a 44-32 advantage in the paint and just nine turnovers as well. That gives the Blazers a 3-1 record over the last four games. They’ve scored 71 or more points in all four of those outings and 82 or more in all three wins.
As for Tulsa, they shot a nice 50.9 percent from the field in their win over Charlotte with 47.6 percent (10-of-21) from outside and 81.8 percent (18-of-22) from the line. The Golden Hurricane had a 31-21 rebounding advantage and just nine turnovers as well. Tulsa is just 1-2 over their last three games though, and they’ve given up 72 or more points in all three of those. We should have a pretty good matchup here if both teams play to their capabilities.
