Saint Francis PA Red Flash Betting Preview
The Red Flash—needless to say—have struggled this year. St. Francis PA has yet to get a victory through five games so far. Following a blowout opener loss to Oklahoma, the Flash took another sizable loss to TCU. Game three was a loss to Mount St. Mary’s by an eight-point margin, then came another loss to Lehigh. St. Francis PA’s most recent defeat came on Monday versus Belmont in another blowout result.
In the Belmont matchup back on Monday, Saint Francis PA faced an eight-point deficit heading into the second half. The Red Flash were demolished 58-29 the rest of the way and lost by a sizable 94-57 margin. Ahmad Harrison led the team in the losing effort with 17 points and two rebounds. The only other team player in double-figures during the defeat was Skylar Wicks with 16 points and seven rebounds in 35 minutes of action on the floor for the Flash.
Troy Trojans Betting Preview
Over on the Troy side, they’ve been busy this year. The Trojans have a whopping eight games in the bag already, but they’ve only been able to maintain a .500 record across that span. The first three games were all wins, as Troy took out Kent State, Furman and Pensacola Christian College in succession. Since then it’s been a 1-4 run with a lone double-overtime win over San Diego State. Otherwise Troy has fallen versus Loyola Marymount, Cal State Northridge, USC and Toledo in that time, giving the Trojans a 4-4 run across their first eight outings of the year.
Matched up against Toledo on Monday, the Trojans went into the second half with a six-point lead. That edge would evaporate on a 45-32 deficit from there as Troy fell 75-68 in the end. Theo Seng topped the team with 18 points and five rebounds while Cooper Campbell added 12 points and five assists. Thomas Dowd doubled up on 10 points with 11 rebounds in 38 minutes of work during the losing effort as well.
Saint Francis PA vs Troy Prediction
I’ll stay with Troy. The Trojans are flailing in the record column right now, but this is a good opportunity to get some confidence back with a win. Troy fell apart in the second half of their loss to Toledo, eventually shooting 40 percent from the field and just 5-of-28 (17.9 percent) from outside with 12 turnovers. The good news is that the Trojans were solid up front with 34 rebounds and 42 points in the paint. Troy has some nice points totals so far this year but a couple of them have been buoyed by overtime games.
As for St. Francis PA, they didn’t stand much of a chance versus Belmont, especially when shooting just 33.9 percent from the field with 16 turnovers and a 30-25 rebounding deficit. The Flash went 6-of-30 (20 percent) from outside as well. That makes few than 67 points in every game so far for St. Francis PA. If Troy can score well here, the Flash won’t be able to keep a relative pace.
