Why Texas Will Beat Oklahoma

Oklahoma Has Some Issues

To start the season, Oklahoma had played well and had a ton of confidence, but now, all of a sudden, they have lost three games, and they have lost all of their confidence. In the last game against Georgia, Oklahoma scored 62 points, but the defense gave up 72 points and that led to the defeat. At halftime against Georgia, they were up 36-33 but in the second half, there were some issues that led to the defeat. Oklahoma shot 38.1 percent from the field and 25.1 percent from behind the three-point line.

Oklahoma is averaging 81.2 points per game while the defense is giving up 71.1 points per game. The offense is naked 54th in the league while the defense is ranked 176th. As of late the offense hasn’t been as consistent and they are going to need the offense to be a whole lot better here. As a team, they are shooting 80.86 percent from the free-throw line. Jalon Moore has been the top player averaging 17.4 points while shooting 51.4 percent from the field. Oklahoma will meet South Carolina after this game.

Texas vs Oklahoma Prediction

To be honest, there are better games on the board to bet with just how inconsistent these two teams have been as of late. Texas as underdogs though has the value, especially with their defense being better. They are giving up only 65.4 points per game compared to the 71.1 points that Oklahoma is giving up per game. Texas is going to have no issue running up the score here, and their defense is going to take the make the stops. Back Texas to cover the spread here.

Shane Mickle's Pick: Texas +2.
