Texas A&M Aggies Betting Preview

The Aggies opened up their 2025-26 campaign with a couple of wins, taking out Northwestern State and Texas Southern. Texas A&M would fall in the next pair versus Oklahoma State and Central Florida, but they’ve been on a four-game win streak since then. In that quartet the Aggies have dispatched Montana, Manhattan, Mississippi Valley State and Florida State in succession, resulting in a 6-2 run across the first eight games of the year.

In the Florida State game last Friday, the Aggies came out of the locker room with a dominant 52-24 edge. Texas A&M didn’t let up in the second half, posting a 43-35 run in a 95-59 blowout win. Ruben Dominguez held 21 points with four rebounds, while Rashaun Agee doubled up on 17 points with 17 rebounds. Richard Isaacs added 15 points with three rebounds and three assists in the victory effort as well.

Pittsburgh Panthers Betting Preview

Over on the Panthers’ side, they opened on a nice run this year but they’ve struggled since the early-going. Pitt kicked things off with three straight wins over Youngstown State, Longwood and Eastern Michigan. Since then it’s been a 2-3 stretch with losses to West Virginia, Central Florida and Quinnipiac among a pair of wins versus Bucknell and Ohio State. In total that gives the Panthers a 5-3 record across their first eight outings of the season.

Matched up against the Buckeyes back on Friday, the Panthers were entering the second half with a 10-point edge. Pitt had to hang on during a 42-33 deficit from there but ended up winning 67-66 in the end. Cameron Corhen led the team with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Both Damarco Minor (two rebounds; two assists) and Barry Dunning (five rebounds) notched 18 points each for the Panthers in the victory.

Texas A&M vs Pittsburgh Prediction

I’ll stay with the Aggies. Texas A&M demolished a pretty decent Florida State team in their last outing, and it wasn’t even close. The Aggies shot 44.1 percent from the field and 80 percent (20-of-25) from the line along with a 53-35 rebounding advantage. On defense Texas A&M held the Seminoles to just 28.8 percent shooting overall and had 13 steals off FSU’s 15 turnovers. that makes 86 or more points in four straight games for the Aggies—all of which were wins.

As for Pittsburgh, they’re coming off a nice win over a good Ohio State team themselves. The Panthers shot just 37.7 percent from the field in that one though, and hit only 5-of-22 (22.7 percent from outside alongside 10-of-16 (62.5 percent) at the line. Pitt was careful with the ball though (five turnovers) and had a 38-30 edge in the paint. The Panthers will have to get that shooting percentage way up if they’re going to keep pace with Texas A&M, though.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Texas A&M Aggies -1.5
