Tennessee Volunteers Betting Preview
This year the Volunteers started out quite well, recording wins in each of their first seven outings. Tennessee would then lose to Kansas, Syracuse and Illinois before wins over Louisville, Gardner-Webb and South Carolina State. It’s been a 2-3 stretch since then with losses to Arkansas, Florida and Kentucky, though. That gives Tennessee a 12-6 record over 18 games this year.
In the Kentucky matchup last weekend, the Vols entered the second half with a pretty nice 42-31 advantage on the scoreboard. Tennessee collapsed in the remainder of the game though, hitting a 49-36 deficit in an 80-78 loss. Leading the team in scoring was Ja’Kobi Gillespie with 24 points, eight assists and two rebounds. Nate Ament added 17 points and five rebounds.
Alabama Crimson Tide Betting Preview
Over on the Alabama side, they went 7-3 over their first 10 games with losses to Purdue, Gonzaga and Arizona. The Tide then beat South Florida, Kennesaw State, Yale and Kentucky in the next four before losses to Vanderbilt and Texas. After two more wins over Mississippi State and Oklahoma, the Tide are sitting at 13-5 on the season so far through their first 18 games on the schedule.
Matched up against Oklahoma last weekend, the Tide were sitting in the locker room looking up at a 44-33 deficit on the scoreboard. Alabama mounted a furious comeback in the second half though, hitting a 50-37 run on the way to a nice road victory 83-81 in the end. Aiden Sherrell posted 21 points with nine boards, and Labaron Philon led the way on 23 points with five rebounds.

Tennessee vs Alabama Prediction
I’m going to stay with the Tide. Alabama started out slowly in their comeback win over Oklahoma, but they eventually prevailed thanks to 43.9 percent shooting, a 39-37 rebounding advantage and a 38-34 edge on points in the paint. The Tide were pretty ugly from the line though, hitting just 57.7 percent (15-of-26) to Oklahoma’s 86.4 percent (19-of-22). That makes consecutive wins for the Tide (both on the road) with a combined 180 points scored in between them.
As for Tennessee, they didn’t have a great second half against Kentucky in their latest loss. The Vols posted 12 turnovers in that one and missed a few free throws (20-of-29 for 69 percent) along the way. Tennessee has lost three of the last five games, giving up 80 or more points in four of those outings (with one double-overtime affair mixed in).
