TCU lost the handle in the second half on a 46-34 deficit however, and ended up taking the road loss in the end 76-70. Xavier Edmonds put up 19 points with eight rebounds and two assists while Micah Robinson had 10 points with six rebounds. Brock Harding chipped in eight points as well.
Utah Utes Betting Preview
Over on the Utes’ side, they won their first five games of the year then hit a rocky 3-4 run that featured losses to Cal Poly, Grand Canyon, California and Mississippi State. Utah has since taken five more losses in succession, dropping games versus Washington, Arizona, Colorado, BYU and Texas Tech in that time. Across 17 games this season that gives the Utes an 8-9 overall run.
Matched up against Texas Tech in the Wednesday game the Utes were in the locker room with a 50-38 deficit. Utah didn’t end up getting any closer than that, posting a 38-36 run the rest of the way toward an 88-74 loss. Keanu Dawes paced the team on 18 points with nine rebounds and two assists. Don McHenry added 18 points with two rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes of work as well.

TCU vs Utah Prediction
I’ll stick with TCU. The Frogs had a good first half against a great BYU team this week, holding the Cougars to just 35.3 percent from the field. TCU would fade down the stretch though, shooting a tepid 41 percent from the field themselves with a 47-29 rebounding deficit and a 38-30 disadvantage in the paint. The Frogs have lost three straight games, but to be fair each of those was against a ranked team, one went to overtime and two were on the road.
As for Utah, they couldn’t keep pace with a good Texas Tech squad on the road this week, giving up 51.4 percent shooting with a 37-24 rebounding deficit and a 36-24 disadvantage on points in the paint. The Utes have lost five in a row themselves with three of those being against ranked teams. Utah will have the advantage of playing at home this time but I don’t think they’ll quite keep pace with the Frogs.
