Stonehill College Skyhawks Betting Preview
It’s been a struggle for the Skyhawks so far this year. Stonehill opened with a win over Thomas ME, then fell in succession versus DePaul, Rhode Island, Fairfield, Loyola MD and Iowa State in the next five games. After another victory versus Lafayette on November 21, the Skyhawks took a loss to UMass Lowell in the ensuing outing. That would give Stonehill a 2-6 run across their first eight games of the year.
In Sunday’s game versus Quinnipiac, the Skyhawks went into the second half trailing 41-32. Stonehill finished on a five-point deficit and ended up losing 76-62 in the end. Tops in scoring during the losing effort was Raymond Espinal-Guzman with 17 points and six boards. Hermann Koffi had 15 points and four rebounds, while Davante Hackett had 13 points with nine boards and two assists in the loss.
Bryant Bulldogs Betting Preview
Over on the Bryant side, they’ve had some similar troubles in the win column so far this year. The Bulldogs lost to Siena and Georgia Tech in their first pair ahead of a win over Dartmouth. Losses to Valparaiso, Virginia Tech and UConn came in the next trio, then a win over Mercy. Bryant would follow that up with another low-scoring loss to Harvard. In total the Bulldogs hold a 2-6 record in eight games this year.
Matched up against Harvard last weekend, the Bulldogs were within one point at the break. Bryant was outpaced 30-28 from there though, resulting in a tough loss 56-53. Timofei Rudovskii topped the squad with 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists, and Ty Tabales was up there as well on 15 points, six assists and one rebound. Keegan Harvey was the team leader in rebounding (10) with eight points in the losing effort.

Stonehill vs Bryant Prediction
I’ll take a stab on Bryant, but I’m probably not touching this one; there’s not a lot to get excited about. The Bulldogs couldn’t topple a middling Harvard team in their last outing, thanks mostly to a rough 32.8 percent shooting from the field, a 37-30 deficit on the boards and a 34-18 disadvantage in the paint. Bryant has been below 62 points in four of their last five games, losing all four of those. They need a kick in the pants offensively, but I think they’ll score reasonably well here at least.
As for Stonehill, they shot just 39.1 percent from the field in their loss to Quinnipiac on Sunday, along with 15 turnovers and 4-of-8 from the line. The Skyhawks were solid on the boards with a 37-29 edge but got blitzed in the paint 42-28. Stonehill has been below 65 points in four of the last five games, so I’m not optimistic about their offense here.
