Stanford Cardinal Betting Preview
The Cardinal posted a 7-2 run over their first nine games this year. The only losses in that time were versus Seattle U and UNLV. Stanford would then hit a 6-1 run that featured a lone loss to Notre Dame on December 30. The next four were a 1-3 stretch however, with a win over North Carolina among losses to Virginia, Duke and California. Over the first 20 games that would give Stanford a 14-6 run.
On Wednesday versus Miami, Stanford was in control at the start of the second half, looking up at a 40-35 advantage on the scoreboard. The Cardinal got outscored 44-30 the rest of the way however, leading to a 79-70 loss on the road in the end. Ebuka Okorie led the way on his 19 points with five rebounds and four assists while Benny Gealer added 17 points with three rebounds and three assists.
Florida State Seminoles Betting Preview
Over on the Florida State side, they were looking pretty good at 5-1 after six games. A five-game losing streak followed in December however, before the Seminoles could beat MS Valley State and Jacksonville. Losses to North Carolina, Duke, NC State, Syracuse, Wake Forest and SMU (and a win over Miami) came in the next seven outings, giving the Seminoles an 8-12 run through 20 games.
In Wednesday’s game versus Cal, the Seminoles went into the break feeling pretty good sporting a 36-23 advantage. Florida State was outscored 38-27 the rest of the way however, and had to hang on for a tight 63-61 win in the end. Chauncey Wiggins posted 18 points with five rebounds in the victory and Robert McCray had 11 points with four assists and three rebounds.

Stanford vs Florida State Prediction
I’ll take a stab on Florida State but you could call it either way. The Seminoles pulled off a nice win over a pretty good Cal team at home this week, despite shooting just 36.5 percent from the field, 21.4 percent (6-of-28) from outside and 52.4 percent (11-of-21) from the line. FSU had a big advantage 32-14 on points in the paint though, and committed just six turnovers. That gives the Seminoles two wins in their last three games, but they’ve been below 66 points in both of those.
As for Stanford, they couldn’t keep pace on the road with a solid Miami team in their latest loss, especially after missing half their free throws (5-of-10) and coughing up 13 turnovers. The 38-24 deficit in the paint didn’t help matters either. The Cardinal have lost four of the last five games, scoring fewer than 67 points in three of the four defeats. This should be a manageable outing for Stanford to get back on track if all goes well though.
