St. Bonaventure Bonnies Betting Preview
St. Bonaventure was on a great run through the early part of January but they’ve struggled since then. The Bonnies took out CSU Northridge, Canisius, Florida Gulf Coast, Le Moyne, Mansfield, Bryant, Northern Iowa, Bucknell, Buffalo, Providence, Siena, Niagara, VCU, and Fordham (with a loss to Utah State) during a nice 14-1 opening stretch. Since then the Bonnies are just 3-8, though. The wins in that time were over Richmond, Dayton, and Fordham. Otherwise, it was losses to Saint Louis, La Salle, Duquesne, George Mason, VCU, Loyola, George Washington, and Rhode Island, giving the Bonnies a 17-9 overall run through 26 games.
In the Wednesday matchup with Rhode Island, the Bonnies had a great first half and went into the locker room up 37-25. The second half was a 43-27 beatdown though, and St. Bonaventure ended up falling 68-64 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Jonah Hinton with 18 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Both Noel Brown (five rebounds; four assists) and Melvin Council (six rebounds; five assists) chipped in with 16 points each.
UMass Minutemen Betting Preview
Over on the UMass side, they started out on a rough run in the record column but to be fair they’ve been better since the calendar flipped over to 2025. The Minutemen went just 5-10 in their first 15 games, falling versus West Virginia, Louisiana Tech, Hofstra, Temple, Florida State, Central Connecticut, UMass Lowell, Arizona State, Saint Joseph’s, and Richmond during that time. Since then UMass has been on a 6-4 stretch. The losses in that time were versus George Mason, Rhode Island, Saint Louis, and Davidson. otherwise, it was wins over Dayton, Fordham, La Salle, George Washington, Duquesne and La Salle again. That gives the Minutemen an 11-14 record across the first 25 games of the season so far.
Matched up against Davidson on Wednesday, the Minutemen were trailing by eight points at the break. UMass didn’t end up getting any closer on a 40-39 deficit the rest of the way and took the loss 77-68 in the end. The team’s top scorer in the losing effort was Jaylen Curry with 14 points, three assists, and two rebounds. Daniel Rivera added 12 points with three rebounds and two assists, while Rahsool Diggins had 11 points with five assists and two rebounds.

St. Bonaventure vs UMass Prediction
I’ll try the Bonnies in this one. We should have a pretty good matchup here regardless, though. St. Bonaventure had a pretty miserable second half against a decent Rhode Island team in their latest loss. The Bonnies didn’t shoot too badly (43.6 percent) in that one but also gave up 46.2 percent on the other side and had 11 turnovers for 10 Rams points. St. Bonaventure desperately needs a good showing on the scoreboard Saturday. They’ve been below 65 points in three straight games—and below 54 in two of those.
