Southern Miss Golden Eagles Betting Preview
The Eagles kicked off the season on a rough run, going 1-3 in their first four. The win was over Tougaloo, while the losses otherwise were versus Buffalo, South Carolina and Grambling. Since then it’s been a loss to Miami amid wins over William Carey, North Florida, Tennessee-Martin, Radford and Grambling in the last six outings. That gives the Eagles a 6-4 record across their first 10 outings so far this year.
In the Grambling game on Monday, the Golden Eagles entered the second half with a two-point deficit. Southern Miss came back on a 39-29 run from there however, eventually taking the win 68-60 in the end. Leading the way was Tylik Weeks with 19 points and seven boards. Isaac Taveras had 18 points with eight rebounds and five assists while Dylan Brumfield had 13 points with four assists and three boards.
Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview
Over on the Ole Miss side, they opened up the year on a great run, beating SE Louisiana, LA-Monroe, Memphis, CSU Bakersfield and Austin Peay in succession over the first five outings. The Rebels have since lost four straight though, falling to Iowa, Utah, Miami and Saint John’s in succession. Through their first nine games of the year that gives Ole Miss a 5-4 overall record so far.
In the Saint John’s game last weekend, the Rebels took an eight-point deficit into the break. Ole Miss got better from there but still ended up losing 63-58 in the end. Malik Dia was tops with 18 points and 10 boards for a double-double, and Ilias Kamardine had 16 points with three rebounds. Kezza Giffa added 10 points in the losing effort for Ole Miss as well.

Southern Miss vs Ole Miss Prediction
I’ll stick with Ole Miss. The Rebels were able to stick with a good Saint John’s team at Madison Square Garden in their last outing, but fell short in a very low-scoring game. Ole Miss ended up shooting just 36.4 percent from the field and 2-of-16 (12.5 percent) from outside, but the Red Storm didn’t fare any better. It was a sloppy game, with the Rebels accounting for 18 of the total 37 turnovers. Amid some tough matchups over the last four games, Ole Miss has finished below 70 points in three of those.
As for Southern Miss, they overcame a slow start to topple Grambling in Hattiesburg back on Monday. The Eagles didn’t shoot well from 3-point range (18.8 percent on 3-of-16) however, and had 16 turnovers along the way. They’re in for a tricky matchup this weekend, but can be competitive if they can shoot well and cut down the mistakes.
