Over on the Cardinal’s side, they’ve got four games in the bag this year. The opening matchup was against Portland State; Stanford posted an 89-79 victory there. Seattle vs Stanford Prediction
I might try Seattle here, but you could make a case either way. The Redhawks didn’t have a ton of issues versus Idaho State in their last outing, shooting a cool 62 percent from the field and 55 percent (11-of-20) from 3-point range. If there were areas to complain about, it was in rebounding (a 26-22 deficit) and maybe turnovers (a rather modest 11, resulting in eight Bengals steals). That makes three wins in four games for Seattle, and their lone loss came by just two points. The Redhawks have 71 or more points in all four outings, and 83 or more points in all three wins thus far.
As for Stanford, they recorded a strong effort versus a struggling Louisiana team this week. The Cardinal shot 48.2 percent from the field and 80 percent (28-of-35) from the line in that one, alongside a 36-23 rebounding edge and just nine turnovers. Stanford did get outscored in the paint 36-30 but it hardly mattered. That makes 77 or more points in every game so far for the Cardinal, so Seattle will really have to push the offense here.
