Michigan Wolverines Betting Preview
Michigan has been relatively inactive on the court so far this season compared to a lot of other teams. They’ve got just four games in the books overall, but the Wolverines have won all of them. Michigan’s season started with a 121-78 blowout victory over Oakland, then came a tight overtime victory at home versus Wake Forest 85-84. In game three versus TCU, the Wolverines had another tight victory. This one was 67-63 in Michigan’s favor, however. Leading the scoring was Yaxel Lendeborg with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Morez Johnson added 10 points with 12 rebounds for a double-double of his own as well.
In their latest appearance on Wednesday versus Middle Tennessee, the Wolverines won a little more comfortably. Michigan was up 36-30 by the break and hit 50 more points from there in an 86-61 win. Yaxel Lendeborg doubled again on 25 points and 12 boards, while Aday Mara had 10 points with 10 rebounds. Elliot Cadeau chipped in 10 points with two boards in the winning effort for the Wolverines as well.
San Diego State Aztecs Betting Preview
Over on the San Diego State side, they’ve been even less active than Michigan so far this season. The Aztecs have just three games in the books this year. San Diego State’s opener on November 4 versus Long Beach State was a pretty easy win 77-45. Game two was against Idaho State and that one went pretty well also: San Diego State won 73-57 at home. Leading the team in scoring was Reese Waters with 15 points and six rebounds. Pharaoh Compton chipped in 14 points in 11 minutes and Jeremiah Oden had 13 points with three rebounds in the victory effort for San Diego State.
The Aztecs took their first loss of the season versus Troy on November 18. After two overtime periods, San Diego State eventually fell 108-107 in a tough outcome. The Aztecs were led by Miles Byrd with 24 points, three rebounds and three assists. Magoon Gwath added 20 points with seven boards, and Reese Waters had 16 points and six rebounds over 43 minutes of work on the court during the loss.

Michigan vs San Diego State Prediction
I’ll take a stab on San Diego State. You could certainly argue this one the other way, however. The Aztecs had trouble with a pesky (and pretty good) Troy team in their last outing, eventually losing by one point in double-overtime. San Diego State shot well (47.1 percent) in that one and had a 44-38 rebounding advantage with 18 team assists. The major stat however, was the 19 turnovers in the loss. The good news is that San Diego State has scored 73 or more points in all three games so far; they can get the offense going when they’re motivated.
As for Michigan, they didn’t have much trouble with Middle Tennessee in their last game. The Wolverines shot 46.3 percent from the field with 45 rebounds and 50 points in the paint but also hit just 5-of-25 (20 percent) from outside. Michigan has had a couple of close games so far; if San Diego State gets going I could see the Aztecs hanging around.
