San Diego State Aztecs Betting Preview
The Aztecs started out their year on a tepid 3-3 run with wins over Long Beach State, Idaho State and Oregon. The losses otherwise were versus Troy, Michigan and Baylor. Since then it’s been three straight wins as San Diego State has dispatched Utah Valley, Lamar and Air Force on the way to a 6-3 overall record across the first nine games of the season so far.
In the Air Force matchup on Wednesday, the Aztecs put up a 33-30 edge in the first half. San Diego State hit a 48-28 run the rest of the way, eventually winning it 81-58. BJ Davis was tops on 19 points with six assists and two rebounds. Both Magoon Gwath (four rebounds) and Miles Heide (eight rebounds; two assists) notched 12 points apiece in the winning effort.
Arizona Wildcats Betting Preview
Over on the Arizona side, it’s been a smooth, spotless run so far. In their first five games the Wildcats beat Florida, Utah Tech, Northern Arizona, UCLA and UConn. Since then it’s been five more wins over Denver, Norfolk State, Auburn, Alabama and Abilene Christian. That gives Arizona a nice 10-0 run across their first 10 outings of the season so far.
In the Abilene Christian matchup on Tuesday the Wildcats didn’t have too much issue. Arizona was up by 20 at the break, then hit a 45-31 run on the way to a 96-62 win. Brayden Curries was tops on 20 points with two boards and two assists. Motiejus Krivas added 15 points and two rebounds while Ivan Kharchenkov had 11 points with five rebounds in the victory effort for the Wildcats.

San Diego State vs Arizona Prediction
I’ll stick with the Wildcats but I’m probably not touching this one. Arizona notched another blowout win versus an overmatched Abilene Christian team in their last game, shooting 66.7 percent from the field with 30-of-38 (78.9 percent) from the line and a 36-19 rebounding advantage. The only real spot to complain about was the 18 turnovers, turning into 13 Abilene Christian steals. That gives Arizona a whopping 96 or more points in five straight games—with two of those coming versus ranked opponents (Auburn and Alabama).
As for San Diego State, they had few troubles with Air Force thanks to 50.8 percent shooting and a 31-23 rebounding edge in their latest win. The Aztecs have won three straight and they’ve scored 77 or more in five straight (a 4-1 run). San Diego State might be able to hang around here though, if the offense stays on point.
