Rider Broncs Betting Preview
The Broncs opened up the season at 4-2 with losses to UCLA and Iowa alongside wins over San Diego, Coppin State, Navy, and Bucknell. The last two outings have both been losses though, as Rider fell to Villanova and Delaware.
In the Delaware game over the weekend, the Broncs were within four points at halftime but didn’t ultimately get any closer in a 72-66 loss. Rider was led by Jay Alvarez with 17 points and six rebounds.
Fairfield Stags Betting Preview
Over on the Stags’ side, they’re sitting at .500 through eight games. The wins have been over New Hampshire, John Jay, Vermont, and Fairleigh Dickinson. Otherwise, it’s been losses to Rhode Island, Georgetown, Drexel, and Yale.
On Sunday in the Fairleigh Dickinson matchup, Fairfield came back from a 32-30 deficit in the locker room with 48 more points in a 78-74 win. Jamie Bergens led the way with 20 bench points while Peyton Smith doubled on 16 points and 10 boards.

Rider vs Fairfield Prediction
I’ll lean toward Fairfield. Probably not touching this one, though. The Stags didn’t shoot spectacularly in their win over FDU, hitting 42.2 percent from the field and 21.4 percent (3-of-14) from 3-point land. Fairfield made up for it with a 37-32 rebounding advantage and 20 points off 15 Knights turnovers, though. It was the first time in four games that the Stags had cracked 67 points.
As for Rider, they were pretty flat against Delaware despite a 42 percent mark from the field and a 42-33 rebounding edge. The Broncs have been at 66 points or fewer in four straight games now (a 1-3 record), but to be fair they’ve also played a couple of pretty stout teams in that time. Still, I like Fairfield slightly better on the cover/win here.
