In the Texas Southern game last weekend the Panthers were trailing by just one point 41-40 in the locker room. Prairie View came back out and hit a 45-37 run in the second half on the way to a nice victory at home 85-78 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Tai’Reon Joseph with 31 points, four rebounds and two assists while Dontae Horne had 23 points and eight boards.
Bethune-Cookman Wildcats Betting Preview
Over on the Bethune-Cookman side, they were sitting at an ugly 3-10 overall record as the calendar flipped to 2026. The Wildcats have gone a nice 8-1 since then though, beating Florida A&M, Grambling, MS Valley State, AR-Pine Bluff, Jackson State, Alcorn State, Alabama State and Alabama A&M in that time. That gives B-CU an 11-11 overall run in 22 games this year so far.
Matched up against Alabama A&M back on Monday the Wildcats were entering the second half with a 42-32 advantage on the scoreboard. I’ll stick with Bethune-Cookman. The Wildcats are playing very well these days, and they’re coming off another nice win on the road versus Alabama A&M. In that one B-CU shot an excellent 52.7 percent from the field with a 40-30 rebounding edge. It wasn’t perfect though, as the Wildcats shot just 53.6 percent (15-of-28) from the line and had 12 turnovers. Still, Bethune-Cookman has won six straight games with a nice 69 or more points in each of those victories.
As for Prairie View, they got out-rebounded 37-28 and gave up 45.8 percent shooting to Texas Southern but still managed to pull off the home win. The Panthers are just 1-4 in their last five, and they’ve given up 76 or more points in all five of those outings. Bethune-Cookman should score well here.
