Oral Roberts Golden Eagles Betting Preview
It’s been a tough year overall for the Golden Eagles; they’ve got only a handful of scattered wins in the books. Oral Roberts went just 5-11 over their first 16 outings, then hit a losing streak versus South Dakota, South Dakota State, Denver, Omaha, and St. Thomas MN. After a victory over Kansas City, Oral Roberts fell to South Dakota, North Dakota State, North Dakota, and Denver in the next four. Another win came on February 22 versus St. Thomas MN, then two more losses to South Dakota State and Omaha. In total over 29 games that gives the Golden Eagles a 7-22 overall record this season.
In the Omaha road matchup on Saturday, the Golden Eagles hit a 41-38 deficit in the first half. Oral Roberts didn’t get any closer than that though, suffering through a 39-19 run from there on the way to an 80-59 blowout defeat. Topping the scorers was Jalen Miller, the only starter to finish in double-digits with 13 points, four assists, one rebound, and one steal. Darius Robinson added 11 points with three rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes off the bench.
Kansas City Kangaroos Betting Preview
Over on the Kansas City side, they haven’t fared too well this season record-wise, either. After a 4-7 opening run, the Roos took out Portland, Bowling Green, Wichita State, East Tennessee State, South Dakota, and Oral Roberts in the next six games. Since then it’s been just two wins over North Dakota and Denver, though. Otherwise, UMKC has fallen to Omaha, North Dakota State, North Dakota, South Dakota State, St. Thomas MN, Denver, Oral Roberts, North Dakota State, South Dakota, Omaha, South Dakota State, and St. Thomas MN in succession. That makes a 12-19 record across 31 games this year for the Kangaroos.
Matched up against St. Thomas MN in the road rematch this past weekend, the Roos were within three points at the break. UMKC was outscored 34-31 the rest of the way however, ending with a 65-59 loss. Babacar Diallo led the team in the losing effort with 17 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and a steal. Jamar Brown added 12 points with seven rebounds and two assists, and Melvyn Ebonkoli doubled up with 10 points, 15 rebounds, and two assists.

Oral Roberts vs Kanas City Prediction
I’ll lean toward Kansas City, but I’m probably staying away. There’s not a lot to get excited about here with both teams struggling, but it should be a competitive matchup. That said, the Roos didn’t play well in their last outing versus St. Thomas MN, despite holding the Tommies to just 35.6 percent shooting. UMKC also had a 37-29 rebounding edge but also posted 17 turnovers and went only 3-of-17 (17.6 percent) from outside.
The home team won each of the previous two meetings between these teams this year: 90-67 for the Roos on January 4 and 73-67 for Oral Roberts on February 1. Kansas City hasn’t played super well lately, and they’ve been below 67 points in four straight games. The Roos will need a major shot in the arm offensively but I think they can pull it off at home.
