Northeastern Huskies Betting Preview
Northeastern managed a pretty good run over their first quartet, with three wins and one close loss. The victories came over Boston U, Harvard, and Central Connecticut. The one defeat was 79-76 against Princeton on November 10.
Matched up against FIU on Friday, the Huskies took a 30-27 edge into the second half. NIU was outscored 31-30 the rest of the way but held on for the eventual victory 60-58. Leading the way was Rashad King with 19 points—including the game-winning layup.
FGCU Eagles Betting Preview
Over on the Florida Gulf Coast side, they’ve had a tough run so far. The Eagles fell to UNC Greensboro in their opener 73-64, then lost to TCU 67-51. After a 74-65 defeat by St. Bonaventure, FGCU fell in a tough one 63-61 versus Drake.
On Friday versus CSU Bakersfield, the Eagles jumped out to a 37-22 halftime lead, then scored 37 more points from there in a 74-54 result for their first win of the year. Leading the way was Dallion Johnson with 25 points and two rebounds in 33 minutes of work.

Northeastern vs Florida Gulf Coast Prediction
I’ll probably just stick with Northeastern. The Huskies struggled trying to put away FIU on Friday though, so I’d like to see a stronger effort here. That said, Northeastern got the job done despite just 2-of-9 (22.2 percent) from 3-point range and 14-of-22 (63.6 percent) from the line. The 60 points was their lowest total of the year, but the Huskies have held opponents below 63 points in three straight games now.
As for Florida Gulf Coast, they put up a nice effort against a fairly decent CSU Bakersfield team on Friday. The Eagles shot a nice 51.9 percent from the field with 34 rebounds and 15 team assists in that one for their best performance of the season. It was the first time FGCU had scored more than 65 points this year though, so odds are they’ll have trouble replicating that outing.
