NC Central vs Georgia Prediction
I’ll just stay with Georgia here but I’m realistically not touching that hefty line. The Bulldogs did lose quite a bit of talent to the portal this year, but they also retain some key players from last season’s First Round squad. Georgia has four incoming freshmen and some transfers to pair with the returning starters and if all goes well they’ll be back in the mix for the national tournament—even in a tough conference like the SEC.
As for NC Central, they’ll be putting a much bigger lineup on the floor this season, which should help with defense and rebounding. Whether or not the Eagles will be able to run with the quicker teams in the MEAC remains to be seen, however. Still, if all goes well NC Central can be a contender in the conference again.

NC Central Eagles Betting Preview
The Eagles didn’t improve their overall record last season, going a tepid 14-18 on the year. NC Central did look a little better on MEAC matchups though, with an 8-6 outcome that left the team behind only Howard and Morgan State. After wins over MDES and Delaware State in the conference tourney, the Eagles fell to Howard in the championship game.
Looking ahead to the 2026-27 season, the Eagles will have LeVelle Moton back on the sideline for his 18th year at the helm. He’ll be hitting the reset button on starters this year with a fresh group and only one returning player overall. NC Central does have some intriguing names on board like senior Christian Meeks (5.9 PPG at Morgan State).
Georgia Bulldogs Betting Preview
Over on the Georgia side, they had a pretty solid season overall last year but it came to an end quickly. The Bulldogs went 22-11 with a 10-8 run in the Southeastern Conference, putting the team in seventh place behind five nationally-ranked squads. After a loss to Ole Miss in the SEC Tournament, Georgia fell in the First Round of the national tourney versus Saint Louis.
This year the Bulldogs will have head coach Mike White back for his fifth year. He’ll get a great opportunity for continuity this season, as four starters are returning to the fold. Chief among them is Blue Cain, who bagged 13.1 PPG last season and has been with the school for his entire collegiate career.
