New Hampshire Wildcats Betting Preview
The Wildcats were only able to win two of their first nine games this year. The losses in that time were versus Clemson, Harvard, George Mason, Providence, Brown, Fairfield and Dartmouth. After wins over Boston U and Stonehill, the Wildcats took another loss to Saint Louis in game 12. That would leave New Hampshire with a 4-8 overall record this year.
In the Billikens matchup back on December 21, the Wildcats entered the second half with a two-point deficit. New Hampshire closed on a 53-41 deficit from there and lost 93-79 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Jack Graham with 18 points, and KiJan Robinson had 16 points with two rebounds and two assists. Comeh Emuobor added 12 points with four rebounds in the loss as well.
Nebraska Cornhuskers Betting Preview
Over on the Nebraska side, they’ve been able to maintain a spotless record through 12 games so far. The wins have come against West Georgia, Florida International, MD Eastern Shore, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas State, Winthrop, South Carolina Upstate, Creighton, Wisconsin, Illinois and North Dakota in succession, giving the team a nice 12-0 run so far.
In the North Dakota game on December 21, the Cornhuskers were in trouble at the break with a two-point deficit. Nebraska hit a 54-29 run the rest of the way however, leading to a 78-55 win in the end. Braden Frager led the charge on 17 points with four rebounds and Sam Hoiberg had 15 points with four rebounds. Berke Buyuktuncel tried up on 12 points with 10 assists and 11 rebounds as well.

Why the Nebraska Cornhuskers will win
- Nebraska has won each of its last 21 games against non-Conference opponents.
- New Hampshire has lost each of its last eight road night games against non-Conference opponents.
- New Hampshire has lost the first half in nine of its last 12 night games against non-Conference opponents.
New Hampshire vs Nebraska Prediction
I’ll lean toward Nebraska I suppose. The only real question here should be margin of victory, as the Cornhuskers should control things from front to back. Nebraska rolled past North Dakota in their last game (despite a slow start), hitting 45.2 percent from the field with 41 rebounds, 40 points in the paint and just six turnovers. The 3-point shooting (6-of-27 for 22.2 percent) was a bit lacking, but otherwise it was a nice all-around effort. Nebraska has scored 69 or more points in every game so far this year and 71 or more in 11 of the 12 outings total.
As for New Hampshire, they didn’t play terribly in their loss to Saint Louis but did get outfoxed on the boards 39-28 and had just nine team assists. The Wildcats also missed a few free throws (11-of-18 for 61.1 percent) along the way as well. The difficulty will ratchet up significantly here and I don’t think New Hampshire will hang around for long.
