Montana State vs Colorado State Prediction

Colorado State will have the best player on the floor and is the more talented team. Fort Collins is also sneakily one of the toughest venues in college basketball. The Rams should be favored. However, Montana State made the big dance last season and brings back a decent amount of those players. Montana State enters the season as the best team in the Big Sky and has to like its chances to get back to the NCAA tournament.

This should be a good game, and one the Bobcats should be able to hang if not put a scare into Colorado State for an outright upset. Do not sleep on Montana State folks. I want the points in this intriguing Monday night showdown.

Montana State Bobcats Betting Preview

Montana State won 18 games last season and enters year four under coach Matt Logie. Montana State has made the big dance in three of its last five seasons.

Jed Miller returns after averaging 14.9 points and 5.7 rebounds, while Christian King averaged 12.6 points and 4.5 rebounds. Jeremiah Davis averaged 1.3 assists per game, and Cavin Holden played in 207 minutes last season. Montana State returns a good portion of last year’s team, including its best player in Miller. Montana State looks like the team to beat in the Big Sky and make the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in the last six seasons.

Colorado State Rams Betting Preview

Colorado State won 21 games last season and enters year two under coach Ali Farokhmanesh. Colorado State has made the big dance in three of its last five seasons.

Kyle Jorgensen returns after averaging 11.5 points and 4.3 rebounds, while Carey Booth averaged 10.7 points and 5.6 rebounds. Josh Pascarelli is the third returning scorer to average double digits, and Jase Butler played 879 minutes last season. When you throw in Rashaan Mbemba, Colorado State returns the core of last year’s team outside of Brandon Rechsteiner, who led the Rams in scoring. This is a good and experienced Colorado State squad that should make a run toward a PAC-12 title.
