Missouri Tigers Betting Preview
This year the Tigers went 8-2 over their first 10 games then hit a 4-1 run that featured a lone loss to Illinois on December 22. Losses to Ole Miss, LSU, Georgia and Alabama came over the next six games, then wins over Mississippi State, South Carolina and Texas A&M. After a loss to Texas on Valentine’s Day, the Tigers were sitting at 17-8 over their first 25 games this year.
On Wednesday versus Vanderbilt, the Tigers were up by six points heading into the second half. Missouri was outscored 50-45 the rest of the way but managed to hang on for a dramatic 81-80 victory on their home court in the end. Jayden Stone was tops on the team with 19 points and seven rebounds while TO Barrett had 16 points with five assists and two rebounds.

Over on the Arkansas side, they were able to win 12 of their first 15 games out of the gate. The Razorbacks lost to Auburn and Georgia in the next three, then took wins in six of the next seven. Those victories were versus Vanderbilt, LSU, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, LSU and Auburn (with a loss to Kentucky). That would give the Razorbacks a 19-6 record in 25 games this season.
Matched up against Alabama on Wednesday the Razorbacks jumped out to a nice 57-47 lead by the end of the first half. Arkansas was outscored by 10 the rest of the way however, and had to go to overtime. At the end of two extra periods, the Razorbacks had a tough loss on the road 117-115. Darius Acuff went off for 49 points with five rebounds and five assists in the losing effort.

Missouri vs Arkansas Prediction
I was going to lean toward Arkansas but the line seems thick enough for Missouri to get in there. The Razorbacks pushed an excellent Alabama team to the limit in a tight double-overtime road loss this week, shooting 49.4 percent from the field and 13-of-26 from outside. Arkansas got out-rebounded 40-34 though, and had a 58-45 deficit in the paint alongside 56.3 percent shooting allowed on defense. The Razorbacks are still 6-2 in their last eight games though, and they’ve scored 77 or more points in all of those.
As for Missouri, they put up a very nice showing against a great Vanderbilt team this week. The Tigers shot 44.2 percent from the field with 10-of-20 from outside, but did get outscored in the paint 32-26 and had 13 turnovers in a dramatic finish. Missouri is playing well these days and they’ve got four wins in the last five games. This weekend’s matchup should be a great one to watch regardless of what happens.
