The Aggies made short work of a struggling Delaware team in a road matchup last weekend, shooting 57.1 percent from the field, 50 percent (14-of-28) from outside and a perfect 11-of-11 at the line. The 31-22 rebounding edge and four turnovers were nice as well. New Mexico State is just 2-2 in their last four games but they’ve scored 71 or more points in three of those.
The last time these teams met up back on January 4, New Mexico State took a road loss 89-82. The Aggies shot well from the field (45.9 percent) and had a 32-27 rebounding edge with a 32-26 advantage in the paint. Missouri State won the game at the line though, hitting 29-of-39 (74.4 percent) to the Aggies’ 19-of-23 (82.6 percent). The 10-of-21 (47.6 percent) from 3-point range helped the Bears quite a bit also. This one’s likely to be another competitive outing.
