Last weekend versus Cal Baptist, the Utes went into the second half with a three-point edge. Utah hit a 50-47 run the rest of the way in a 91-85 loss. Terrence Brown led the team on 27 points with four assists and two rebounds while Don McHenry had 21 points and two boards. Jacob Patrick added 11 points with two rebounds in 26 minutes of work on the floor as well.

I’ll stick with Utah I suppose. The Utes were a mixed bag in their latest win over Cal Baptist, shooting 49.1 percent from the field and 40 percent (8-of-20) from outside alongside just nine turnovers. Utah also got out-rebounded pretty badly 41-26 (20-9 offensive) however, and had a 48-28 disadvantage on points in the paint. Still, the Utes are now 2-1 in their last three games with 72 or more points scored in each of those.
As for Mississippi State, they they shot poorly versus San Francisco in their latest loss, notching 38.8 percent from the field, 8-of-28 (28.6 percent) from 3-point range and 2-of-8 (25 percent) from the line. The Bulldogs had hit 75 or more points in all eight games prior to that however. Utah will have to kick the offense into gear on Saturday but I think the Utes will be fine if all goes well.
