Why the Florida State Seminoles Will Win

• Home court edge. The Florida State Seminoles have compiled a 10-5 record at home this season.

• Athletic frontcourt. Senior forward Alex Steen provides rebounding and rim protection.

Why the Miami Hurricanes Will Win

• Ability to win on the road. The Miami Hurricanes have amassed a robust 6-2 record on the road this season.

• Offensive efficiency. The Miami Hurricanes are averaging 82.9 points per game which ranks 37th in the nation.

• Defensive edge. The Hurricanes are allowing opponents 70.5 points per contest. Conversely, the Florida State Seminoles are allowing 77.7 points per contest.

Miami Hurricanes vs. Florida State Seminoles Prediction

This matchup features Miami’s high‑level scoring and strong overall record against a Florida State team that has quietly become one of the hottest squads in the ACC and already defeated the Hurricanes earlier this season. Miami’s offensive ceiling gives them a path to control the game, but Florida State’s recent momentum, improved defense and home court edge make the Seminoles a difficult opponent in Tallahassee. For the reasons just noted, I am backing the Florida State Seminoles plus the 3.5 points in this game.

Hans Geevers's Pick: Florida State +3.5
