George Washington Revolutionaries Betting Preview

The Revolutionaries have five games in the bag so far this season, and they’ve been able to remain unscathed in that quintet of outings. George Washington opened up the season on November 3 versus Maine, powering out a 67-47 victory. Game two was much closer but still a win, this time 99-95 against a pesky South Florida squad. The Revolutionaries would keep it going with another blowout win 107-67 over American, then took out Old Dominion last weekend 96-73. In that win over the Monarchs, George Washington’s Rafael Castro finished with 20 points and nine rebounds. Both Garrett Johnson and Jean Aranguren added 17 points apiece in the victory effort for George Washington as well.

The Revolutionaries kept it going in their last outing versus UMBC on Wednesday. This one wasn’t too difficult: after a 47-17 halftime edge, George Washington hit a 42-35 run the rest of the way in an 89-52 victory. Luke Hunger notched a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Rafael Castro doubled up as well with 13 points and 15 rebounds.

McNeese State Cowboys Betting Preview

Over on the McNeese State side, they’ve got four games in the books this year so far. The Cowboys posted a blowout victory versus Champion Christian 127-65 in their opener, but game two was a road loss 79-67 versus Santa Clara. In game three, the Cowboys rolled to another big win over College of Biblical Studies, taking that one 132-50 on the strength of 67 second-half points (and 65 in the first alongside just 11 for the Ambassadors). Javohn Garcia logged 19 points with five rebounds and three assists, while team leader Larry Johnson added 25 points in just 15 minutes of work.

In their latest matchup versus Louisiana back on November 14, McNeese State notched another victory. The Cowboys held a 37-16 advantage by halftime and didn’t look back on a 51-46 run from there in an 88-62 outcome. Johnson led the team again with 24 points and three boards. The only other Cowboys player to finish in double-digits was Tyshawn Archie with 14 points, four rebounds and three assists.

George Washington vs McNeese State Prediction

I’ll likely stay with the Revolutionaries. George Washington is humming along quite nicely on a 5-0 clip thus far; they’re looking good. In their latest win over UMBC on Wednesday, the Revolutionaries shot a nice 54 percent from the field with a 41-25 rebounding edge, 18 team assists, 38 points in the paint and a 13-of-27 (48.1 percent) rate from 3-point range. The defense was good as well, holding the Retrievers to just 33.3 percent from the field during the blowout victory. George Washington scored just 67 points in their opener, but since then they’ve hit 89 or more points in every game with 96 or more in three of four.

As for McNeese State, they were able to handle a struggling Louisiana team quite well in their latest outing. It’s been a while since the Cowboys have been on the floor though (November 14), so it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see them start slowly on Sunday.
