Wagner Seahawks Betting Preview
Over on the Wagner side, they were only able to win one of their first seven games this year. The Seahawks would then hit a five-game win streak in December before falling to Stonehill, Saint Francis, Mercyhurst, New Haven, Fairleigh Dickinson, Le Moyne and Central Connecticut in succession. After wins over FDU and Le Moyne came a loss to Central Connecticut after that.
In the rematch versus Central Connecticut on the road last weekend, the Seahawks went into the locker room with a 10-point deficit 38-28. Wagner didn’t end up getting any closer than that, limping through the second half on a 46-39 deficit in an 84-67 loss in the end. Eddie Placer put up 26 points as the only team player to reach double-digits during the losing effort.

I’ll stick with LIU but I’m not touching it. The Sharks are coming off a win over Stonehill thanks to 44.6 percent shooting and a 38-26 advantage on points in the paint. Long Island U added 31 rebounds and just 34.5 percent shooting allowed on defense but did have 12 turnovers. The Sharks have won five straight games now, but they’ve been below 67 points in three of them.
As for Wagner, they shot just 37.5 percent from the field in their latest loss, giving up 57.4 percent to Central Connecticut on the other side. The Seahawks were outmuscled on the boards 34-23 and had a 34-22 deficit on points in the paint as well. Wagner is just 2-8 in the last 10 games and they’ve finished below 70 points in seven of those losses.
