The LIU Sharks and the St. Francis Red Flash meet Friday in college basketball action from the DeGol Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a LIU vs. St. Francis prediction.

LIU Recap

The LIU Sharks come into this game looking to keep the ball rolling after a 72-63 win over Mercyhurst last time out to improve to 10-11 on the year. After this game, LIU will head on the road for a rematch with Mercyhurst.

Sharks Win 6th In A Row

Malachi Davis leads the Sharks in scoring with 17.9 PPG and 3.1 APG while Jamal Fuller has 11.6 PPG with 6 RPG to cap off the pair of double-digit scorers for LIU up to this point in the year. Terell Strickland has 8.6 PPG with 4.6 RPG and a team-high 4.5 APG to lead the Sharks in assists and Shadrak Lasu has a team-high 6.9 RPG to lead the Sharks on the glass so far this season. As a team, LIU is averaging 68.8 PPG on 44% shooting from the field, 32.3% from three, and 69.9% from the foul line this season.

Why the LIU Sharks will win

  • LIU has won each of its last six games.
  • Saint Francis has lost six of its last seven night games against the Northeast Conference.

St. Francis Recap

The St. Francis Red Flash come into this game looking to bounce back from a 70-68 loss to Wagner last time out to sit at 7-13 on the year. After this game, St. Francis will meet Wagner, Mercyhurst, and Le Moyne.

Red Flash Lose Back-To-Back Games

Riley Parker leads the Red Storm in scoring and assists with 11.8 PPG and 3.5 APG along with 3.5 RPG while Bobby Rosenberger III has 11.2 PPG and 4.6 RPG up to this point in the year. Juan Cranford Jr. added 9.6 PPG with 3.6 RPG while Jeremy Clayville chipped in 8.9 PPG and Valentino Pinedo has 9.4 PPG with 6.7 RPG in 15 games played so far this season. As a team, St. Francis is averaging 71 PPG on 45.6% shooting from the field, 34% from three, and 74.3% from the foul line this season.

Why the Saint Francis Red Flash will win

  • LIU has lost seven of its last eight road night games against the Northeast Conference.
  • The home team has won 10 of the last 12 games between LIU and Saint Francis.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of LIU’s last 17 night games have produced a total of 130+ points.
  • Forty-four of Saint Francis’ last 46 home night games against the Northeast Conference have produced a total of 130+ points.

LIU vs. St. Francis Prediction

I’m on LIU here. The Sharks have been nothing short of money so far in conference play, and have been arguably the best team in the conference on both ends of the floor, ultimately resulting in their 6-0 start to conference play. St. Francis is just hurting right now, especially offensively, as they needed double OT to hit 70 points against a defensive-minded Wagner team that hasn’t been anywhere as strong as LIU in conference play so far this season. I think the Sharks are legit and I think LIU will secure another win even on the road to remain unbeaten in conference play. Give me the LIU Sharks in this one.

Chris Ruffolo's Pick: LIU -1.5
