Lafayette Leopards Betting Preview
The Leopards were able to win just one of their first seven games this year, taking out Dickinson PA on November 5. After that came a 2-1 stretch with a loss to Monmouth in between wins over Ball State and Mercyhurst. Lafayette lost their next three to Penn, Charlotte and Georgia Tech, leaving the team with a 3-10 overall record across their first 13 outings this year.
On Wednesday versus Colgate, Lafayette entered the second half with a four-point deficit. The Leopards posted another four-point deficit 44-40 the rest of the way and lost eventually 85-77. Mark Butler was tops in the defeat with 19 points and five boards while Caleb Williams had 17 points with seven rebounds. Andrew Phillips chipped in 13 points and three assists as well.

Over on the Loyola MD side, they were able to win just two of their first seven games. Those victories came over Penn St. Abington and Stonehill. After wins over Washington College MD and Coppin State, the Greyhounds lost the next four versus Hampton, VMI, Mount St. Mary’s and George Mason. That would give Loyola MD a 4-9 record across their first 13 outings.
Matched up against American on Wednesday the Greyhounds were down 44-36 going into the second half. Loyola didn’t end up getting any closer from there, falling further behind on a 40-33 run in an 84-69 loss. Tops in scoring was Braeden Speed with 13 points, four rebounds and three assists. Lafayette vs Loyola MD Prediction
I’ll try Lafayette but realistically I’m not touching this one. The Leopards shot pretty well (48.1 percent) from the field and had 30 rebounds with 34 points in the paint during their latest loss to Colgate. Lafayette missed a few free throws (19-of-28 for 67.9 percent) but even that wouldn’t have overcome the 47.4 percent shooting allowed to the Raiders. Lafayette has lost four straight games and given up 81 or more points in three straight.
As for Loyola, they couldn’t keep pace with American in their latest loss. The Greyhounds shot 42.9 percent from the field with a 30-21 rebounding edge, but also had 18 turnovers with a 50-18 deficit on points in the paint. Loyola has now lost five straight games with 81 or more points surrendered in each of those defeats.
