Kentucky Wildcats Betting Preview
Kentucky won nine of their first 15 games. The losses were to Louisville, Michigan State, North Carolina, Gonzaga, Alabama and Missouri in that stretch. The Wildcats would then hit a 6-1 run, taking wins over Mississippi State, LSU, Tennessee, Texas, Ole Miss and Arkansas. Two more wins versus Oklahoma and Tennessee came after that, giving Kentucky a 17-7 record in the first 24 games.
Last weekend versus Tennessee, the Wildcats were in trouble at halftime with a 47-33 deficit. Kentucky came back with a vengeance in the second on a 41-24 run however, eventually powering out the victory at home in dramatic fashion 74-71. Otega Oweh led the team on 21 points with four rebounds and two assists while Denzel Aberdeen had 16 points and three assists in the victory.
Florida Gators Betting Preview
Over on the Florida side, they went only 5-4 over their first nine games. Florida beat George Washington, Saint Francis, Colgate, Dartmouth, Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and LSU over the next 10 outings, then lost to Auburn. Victories versus South Carolina, Alabama and Texas A&M came next. That would make for a 17-6 record in the first 23 games of the year.
Matched up against Georgia on Wednesday the Gators jumped out to a commanding lead at halftime 43-27. Florida kept it going in the second half with a 43-39 advantage and cruised to the 20-point victory on the road 86-66. Xaivian Lee put up 18 points with seven assists and three rebounds while Rueben Chinyelu had a whopping 20 rebounds alongside his seven points.

Kentucky vs Florida Prediction
I’ll lean toward Florida. The Gators got past a good Georgia team this week in a road matchup, hitting 50.8 percent from the field while allowing just 34.7 percent on the other side. Florida added a 41-31 rebounding edge and 80 percent (12-of-15) from the line, but did have 14 turnovers along the way. The Gators have won four straight games now, hitting 86 or more points in all four of those.
As for Kentucky, they had a bad first half at home against Tennessee last weekend but managed to make the comeback on 50 percent shooting from the field. The Wildcats got blasted on the boards 45-27 however, and shot just 59.1 percent (13-of-22) at the line. This is going to be another tricky matchup for Kentucky, and they won’t stay close if they can’t clean up their mistakes from last weekend.
