The Jacksonville Dolphins and the Pacific Tigers meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Ocean Center. Here’s a Jacksonville vs Pacific prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Jacksonville vs Pacific pick. We will examine the recent form and player performances for both teams, as well as the recent betting trends and streaks pertaining to this matchup. As we conclude, we will tie it all together with a summary that produces a sensible pick for a favorable betting outcome in this game.

Jacksonville Dolphins Betting Preview

The Dolphins have six games in the bag so far this season. During that time they’ve been alternating wins with losses. Jacksonville opened with a loss to Miami, then beat Trinity FL in game two. The Dolphins would then fall versus High Point ahead of a two-point win over VMI. Game five was another loss, this time to George Mason. On Monday Jacksonville took a win over Bethune-Cookman, evening their record back to .500 through six outings so far.

On Monday versus Bethune-Cookman, the Dolphins entered the second half all tied up at 30-30. Jacksonville hit a 39-34 run from there and powered out the win 69-64 in the end. Tops in scoring was Hayden Wood with 15 points and five boards. Donovan Rivers added 13 points with six rebounds and Jaylen Jones put up 10 points with six rebounds and four assists in the winning effort for the Dolphins.

Pacific Tigers Betting Preview

Over on the Pacific side, they’ve got a couple of blemishes on the card so far this year but overall their season is going well otherwise. The Tigers opened up the season with a blowout win over Life Pacific, but then took a tough loss to Nevada by one point on November 8. The Tigers would win the next pair versus Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton, then lost another one (in blowout fashion) versus Florida Atlantic. On Monday versus Stony Brook, Pacific was able to bag a win to improve to 4-2 across six games so far.

In the matchup with Stony Brook on Monday, the Tigers jumped out to a 35-20 lead at the break. Pacific didn’t let up after halftime on a 51-38 run and took the win 86-58 in the end. Elias Ralph was the team’s top scorer with 17 points, three assists and one rebound. Jaden Clayton added 15 points with two boards and two assists while KC Ibekwe had 11 points in 14 minutes of work on the floor during the victory for the Tigers.

Jacksonville vs Pacific Prediction

I’ll probably stick with the Tigers here. Pacific put up an impressive win versus Stony Brook on Monday, shooting a smooth 67.4 percent from the field and a nice 8-of-13 (61.5 percent) from outside along with 20-of-24 (83.3 percent) from the line. The rebounding was good too (33-20) and Pacific dominated in the paint with a 32-8 scoring advantage. The 14 turnovers were just about the only ugly stat for the Tigers in that win. It was a nice bounce-back effort after getting blitzed by Florida Atlantic on Thursday. Pacific has now scored 77 or more points in four of their six games so far this season.

As for Jacksonville, they weren’t great from the line (14-of-25 for 56 percent) and notched a tepid 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from 3-point range in Monday’s win over Bethune-Cookman. The Dolphins were pretty decent up front though, and had just nine turnovers along the way. Jacksonville has been below 70 points in five of their six games so far this year however, so I don’t know that they’ll be able to keep up with the Tigers if Pacific gets going.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Pacific Tigers TBA
