Jacksonville Dolphins Betting Preview
The Dolphins kicked off their season with a matchup versus Trinity Baptist. Jacksonville scored 34 points in the first half of that one, then hit 44 more in the second for a 78-65 win. Stephon Payne led the way on a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds in just 19 minutes.
Game two versus Florida marked the Dolphins’ first loss. Jacksonville trailed 46-32 at the break and eventually stumbled to an 81-60 result. Robert McCray was tops this time with 20 points and six boards. Zach Bell added 11 points and three rebounds.
Furman Paladins Betting Preview
Over on the Furman side, they had a pretty soft opener versus Columbia International. The Paladins jumped out to a ridiculous 58-15 halftime lead and cruised to the win 104-46. Tom House led the team on 21 points in only 17 minutes. Tyrese Hughey doubled on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Furman had a much tighter road matchup in game two versus Belmont but still came out on top. The Paladins nearly blew a 42-34 halftime lead but held on for the win 76-74. PJay Smith was tops this time with 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists in 26 minutes. Furman will meet Tulane after this game.

Furman vs Jacksonville Prediction
I’m going to stay with Furman. The Paladins didn’t have a great second half against Belmont in their last game and allowed the Bruins 54.2 percent shooting from the floor while coughing up 16 turnovers. Furman saved themselves with 16-of-35 (45.7 percent) from 3-point range and a 34-27 rebounding edge, though.
As for Jacksonville, they didn’t shoot great against Florida (37.9 percent) and had 18 turnovers themselves but did come up with a 40-35 rebounding advantage. The Dolphins can stay in Monday’s matchup if they can put together another good performance on the boards. That said, I like Furman to eke out a cover in the end.
