Jacksonville Dolphins Betting Preview
The Dolphins have carved out a .500 run so far, alternating wins with losses through eight games. Jacksonville opened on a 2-2 stretch with losses to Miami and High Point amid wins over Trinity FL and VMI. Since then it’s been a couple of losses to George Mason and Pacific amid wins over Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M. In total that gives the Dolphins a 4-4 run through eight games this year.
In the Florida A&M game on Tuesday, the Dolphins overcame a four-point halftime deficit with a 35-31 second half and eventually won it 85-82 in overtime. Jacksonville was led by Jaylen Jones with 16 points, three boards and two assists. Chris Arias added 15 points with four rebounds, and Evan Sterck chipped in 14 points with five rebounds and three assists in the winning effort for Jacksonville.
Florida International Panthers Betting Preview
Over on the Panthers’ side, they weren’t very busy last month, playing just a half-dozen games for a .500 run in that time. Florida International started on a 1-2 run with a win over Florida National ahead of losses to Nebraska and LSU. After that came an inverted 2-1 stretch with a loss to James Madison in between wins over Fort Lauderdale and Omaha. That would give the Panthers a 3-3 record across their first six games of the season. In the Florida Gulf Coast game on Wednesday, the Panthers managed to pull out an 89-83 win at Ocean Bank Convocation Center. FIU was led by Zawdie Jackson with 20 points, two assists and one rebound while Corey Stephenson added 18 points with seven rebounds. Julian Mackey had 13 points with four assists and three steals in the win as well.

Jacksonville vs Florida International Prediction
I’ll probably stick with Jacksonville here but I’m probably also not touching it. Jacksonville had to rally for an overtime win at Swisher Gym versus a winless Florida A&M team in their last game. The Dolphins ended up shooting 42.9 percent from the field with a 34-27 rebounding advantage and 13 team assists alongside nine turnovers. The Rattlers were scorching hot from 3-point range though, dumping in 13-of-21 for 61.9 percent there. Jacksonville has had trouble scoring this season though; they’d been below 70 points in five straight outings prior to that.
As for FIU, they put up a solid effort against a decent FGCU team in their last outing, shooting 45 percent from the field and 86 percent (30-of-35) from the line. The Panthers did have 13 total turnovers though, and got out-rebounded 39-32 in the victory. Florida International has 72 or more points in all but one game so far this year, so this could be a decent total.
