Iowa Hawkeyes Betting Preview
Back on February 8 the Hawkeyes were coming off a nice six-game win streak against tough Big Ten squads and sitting at 18-5 overall. Iowa lost six of their next eight versus Maryland, Purdue, Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan and Nebraska however. After a win over Maryland in the conference tournament Iowa fell versus Ohio State, then took out Clemson in the national tourney.
In the Friday NCAA Tournament First Round matchup versus Clemson, the Hawkeyes held a seven-point lead 32-25 going into the locker room for the break. Iowa was outscored by a point 36-35 in the second half but held on for the six-point win 67-61 as the game concluded. Tops in scoring was Bennett Stirtz with 16 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Gators beat South Carolina, Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Kentucky to finish off the year, then beat Kentucky in the conference tourney before a loss to Vanderbilt and a win over Prairie View.
Matched up against Prairie View A&M in the NCAA Tournament First Round on Friday the Gators came back out onto the floor after the break with an absolutely dominant 60-21 edge. The Gators hit a 54-34 run the rest of the way, overwhelming the Panthers in a 114-55 blowout win. Iowa vs Florida Prediction
I’ll stay with Florida. The Gators put on an absolute clinic versus an overmatched Prairie View squad in their First Round game, eventually shooting a scorching 64.3 percent from the field while giving up just 27 percent on the other side. Florida added a 47-17 rebounding edge and a 64-10 advantage on points in the paint. The Gators have lost just one game (versus Vanderbilt in the conference tourney) since January 24, and they’re scoring very well while doing it.
As for Iowa, they put together a good win over Clemson despite shooting just 38.3 percent from the field. The Hawkeyes held the Tigers to just 40.7 percent on defense and added a 36-24 rebound ing edge. Iowa is just 2-4 in the last six games (against some tough Big Ten teams) however, so this one’s going to be tough.
