Houston vs BYU Prediction
I’ll lean toward Houston but you could make a case the other way as well. Houston put away a good UCF team this week thanks to 54.7 percent shooting from the field, a 38-24 advantage on the boards, a 42-14 edge in the paint and just five turnovers. The 3-point shooting (3-of-19 for 15.8 percent) was just about the only thing lacking for the Cougars in that one. Houston has won three straight games now, with 76 or more points scored in each of those.
As for BYU, they shot well (50 percent) from the field in their loss to Oklahoma State, Trouble is, the Cougars gave up 54.7 percent shooting on defense with a 52-36 deficit in the paint and 16 turnovers during the road defeat. BYU does have the capability to be competitive here in a home matchup, but they’ve got to tighten things up all the way around.
