Green Bay Phoenix Betting Preview
The Phoenix took on Kansas in their opener this year and trailed 48-27 by halftime. After a 46-24 stretch from there the Phoenix took a loss 94-51. The sole player on the team to finish in double-digits was Marcus Hall with 17 points, four rebounds and two assists. CJ O’Hara got close on nine points in 25 minutes, though. In their second outing last Friday against Buffalo, the Phoenix were trailing by four points at halftime. Green Bay didn’t end up getting any closer from there, giving up 51 more points in an 83-76 road loss. Tops in scoring this time was Caden Wilkins with 22 points and three boards. Marcus Hall added 16 points with seven assists and five rebounds, while CJ O’Hara had 12 points and seven boards. In Monday’s matchup versus Ripon, the Phoenix took their first win of the year. Green Bay held a 38-35 edge at halftime then surged on a 45-28 run for an 83-63 win in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Marcus Hall, who doubled up on 21 points and 10 rebounds alongside four assists. Mac Wrecke put up 13 points and four boards in 20 minutes for the Phoenix.
In their latest game versus St. Thomas-MN on Thursday, the Phoenix were outscored 50-26 in the first half. Green Bay got better from there but ultimately limped to an 80-61 loss in the end. Tops in scoring during the losing effort (and the only player to finish in double-digits) was Mac Wrecke with 10 points, four rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes on the court.
Minnesota Golden Gophers Betting Preview
Over on the Gophers’ side, they took wins in their first two outings. First was an 87-60 finish versus Gardner-Webb. In that one Minnesota’s Cade Tyson finished with 30 points and three boards, while Langston Reynolds had 14 points with nine rebounds and four assists. Jaylen Crocker-Johnson added 13 points with 14 rebounds as well. In game two versus Alcorn State, Minnesota turned a 48-17 first-half advantage into a 95-50 blowout win. Cade Tyson had 21 points to lead the way, while both Jaylen Crocker-Johnson (15 points; 16 rebounds) and Robert Vaihola (12 points; 13 rebounds) doubled up in the victory effort for the Gophers.
On Wednesday versus Missouri, the Gophers trailed by just two points at halftime. Minnesota was outscored 51-30 the rest of the way however, and lost 83-60 in the end. Cade Tyson led the team with 17 points this time, and Jaylen Crocker-Johnson had 12 boards and six points. Isaac Asuma chipped in with 13 points and two assists as well.

Green Bay vs Minnesota Prediction
I’ll just stick with Minnesota. The Gophers need a good bounce-back effort after their loss to Missouri this week though, and this is a solid spot to get it. Minnesota didn’t shoot too badly in that one (42.6 percent) and had a 31-24 rebounding edge. Trouble is, the Gophers also gave up 59.2 percent shooting from the field and 50 percent (11-of-22) from 3-point range to the Tigers. So long as Minnesota can focus on high-percentage shots and stay strong up front the Gophers should be able to control this one from front to back.
