Florida Gators Betting Preview
The Gators didn’t start out the year so hot, going just 5-4 over their first nine games out of the gate. Florida beat George Washington, Saint Francis, Colgate, Dartmouth, Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and LSU over the next 10 games, then lost to Auburn. After wins over South Carolina and Alabama the Gators are 16-6 over their first 22 games this year.
Back on Sunday versus Alabama, the Gators opened up the game with a nice 46-36 advantage in the first half. Florida kept it going on a 54-41 run from there and took the dominant blowout victory on their home court 100-77 in the end. Florida was led by Alex Condon with 25 points, seven boards and six assists while Rueben Chinyelu doubled up on 14 points with 17 rebounds.
Texas A&M Aggies Betting Preview
Over on the Texas A&M side, they lost to only Oklahoma State, UCF and SMU over their first 16 games this season. After a loss on the road in double-overtime to Tennessee on January 13, the Aggies beat Texas, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Georgia before a loss to Alabama this week. Over 22 games so far this year, that gives the Aggies a 17-5 record in the books.
Matched up against Alabama on Wednesday the Aggies were looking up at a 46-46 tie on the scoreboard at halftime. Texas A&M was outscored 54-51 the rest of the way, leading to a tough loss on the road 100-97 as the game concluded. Rashaun Agee led the team on his 21 points, three rebounds and three assists. Florida vs Texas A&M Prediction
I’ll stick with Florida. The Gators are still beaming after a great home win over a tough Tide squad last weekend. Florida shot a very nice 51.3 percent from the field with a 41-30 rebounding edge, a ridiculous 72-26 advantage in the paint and just two turnovers. That said, the Gators shot just 23.1 percent (3-of-13) from outside and 17-of-26 (65.4 percent) at the line. that gives Florida a 7-1 run over their last eight games, with four of those wins coming versus ranked teams.
As for Texas A&M, they pushed Alabama to the limit in a road loss this week, shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 41.9 percent (13-of-31) from 3-point range. The Aggies had a 38-30 edge on points in the paint and just six turnovers as well. Texas A&M is still 4-1 in the last five games with 88 or more points scored in four straight. The Aggies can give Florida a bit of trouble here if Texas A&M can stay strong under the basket. It’ll be a fun matchup.
