I’ll lean toward Wichita State but it’s a coin flip. The Shockers didn’t shoot especially well from the field (40.5 percent) in their latest win over UTSA, but held the Roadrunners to just 33.3 percent shooting on defense. Wichita State added a healthy 54-37 advantage on rebounds and were up 34-30 in the paint. That makes five straight wins for the Shockers with 81 or more points scored in four of those outings.
The last time these teams met up, the Shockers took a road loss 85-67. In that one Wichita State managed to shoot just 39.7 percent from the field and 56.5 percent at the line (13-of-23) while giving up 55.9 percent to the Owls. Wichita State was reasonably competitive in most other areas though, so with the home push in the rematch I think the Shockers have a good chance here.
