In their second outing versus UNC Greensboro last weekend the Phoenix got another win. Elon scored 44 points in the first half, 42 in the second and six in overtime on the way to a 92-90 win. Topping the scorers this time was Kacper Klaczek with 25 points and 13 rebounds alongside three assists. Chandler Cuthrell added 20 points with 10 rebounds for his own double-double. As for game four, Elon powered out a 95-84 win over Gardner-Webb on November 15.
In their most recent outing versus Miami, the Phoenix were down by seven at the break and didn’t get any closer on a 51-31 second half in a 99-72 loss. Appalachian State Mountaineers Betting Preview
Over on the App State side, they kicked off their season with a rather rough November 3 loss 82-66 versus Central Michigan. The Mountaineers would bounce back with a 92-46 blowout win over Carolina in game two, then kept it going with a 76-54 win over NC Central on November 9. App State got blown out by Ohio State 75-53 in game four, but beat Dartmouth in their next outing by a score of 85-77. Leading the team in scoring was Kasen Jennings on 21 points and four rebounds.
Back on Friday versus Charlotte, App State was in trouble with a 37-30 deficit at the break. The Mountaineers stormed back on a 35-26 run in the second though, powering out the win 65-63 in the end. Kasen Jennings was tops on 15 points with three boards, and Alonzo Dodd chipped in 10 points with four rebounds in 31 minutes of work during the victory effort for App State.

Elon vs App State Prediction
I’ll take a stab on App State, but you could probably call this one either way. The Mountaineers got themselves into a bit of trouble versus Charlotte in their last outing and eventually got out-rebounded 31-27 while shooting a tepid 15-of-23 (65.2 percent) from the line. App State hit 46.7 percent from the field themselves though, and had only nine turnovers in the two-point win. Still, that makes 67 or fewer points in three of six games so far this season; the Mountaineers need to get going on the scoreboard quickly here.
As for Elon, they shot well (51 percent) in their loss to Miami but also had 18 turnovers and got outmuscled on the boards 34-19. The Phoenix have scored 72 or more points in every game so far; App State will have their hands full trying to maintain a cover pace.
