Detroit Titans Betting Preview

The Titans have five games under their belts, and the first two were losses. Detroit played UIC in their opener and went into the second half on a 38-31 deficit in a 91-71 loss. Ayden Carter had 18 points, and Keshawn Fisher added 12 points. Orlando Lovejoy notched 11 points and four rebounds in the defeat. The Titans were blitzed by Notre Dame 102-70 in their second outing of the year. Detroit’s TJ Nadeau topped the team on 24 points in 27 minutes. As for game three, Detroit finally got a win. That one was a blowout 92-54 over Cleary. In game four however, the Titans fell back into the loss column 90-83 versus Toledo last Saturday.

In Tuesday’s game versus Eastern Michigan, the Titans held a nine-point lead at the break but scored only 23 points from there in a 72-62 loss. The team’s only double-digit scorer was Orlando Lovejoy on 20 points, six boards and two assists.

Michigan State Spartans Betting Preview

Over on the Michigan State side, their opener was against Colgate. The Spartans took a lead 37-34 at halftime then hit a 43-35 stretch in an 80-69 win. Tops on the team in scoring was Jaxon Kohler with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Jeremy Fears also doubled with 14 points and 10 assists, while Coen Carr had 12 points, four rebounds and two assists. In their second outing versus Arkansas, Michigan State took a 69-66 win to keep their run going. Leading the way in scoring this time was Cam Ward with a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds. Coen Carr added 15 points and seven rebounds with three assists. As for game three versus San Jose State, Michigan State jumped out t a 46-23 edge by halftime. Why the Michigan State Spartans will win

Detroit vs Michigan State Prediction

I’ll go with Michigan State, but I’m probably not touching this one. If the Spartans continue to play like they did versus Kentucky, Friday’s matchup will be over by halftime. Michigan State shot a cool 50 percent from both the field and 3-point range (11-of-22) in this week’s win over the Wildcats, along with a 37-24 rebounding edge and a whopping 25 team assists. If there’s anything to complain about it’s a relatively modest 12 turnovers. Michigan State has a nice 69 or more points in all four games so far, and 79 or more in their last pair. The Spartans should pour in a ton of points here as well, but it’ll be garbage time at Breslin Center fairly quickly. Michigan State will roll in this one.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Michigan State Spartans -31.5
