Delaware Blue Hens Betting Preview
The Hens had an ugly run going in January and February, but they’ve cleaned up their act since then. Delaware opened the season on a fairly spotty run, going 11-8 over their first 19 outings. Starting on January 23, the Hens kicked off a 1-11 stretch, beating only William & Mary amid losses otherwise versus Hofstra, Drexel, Towson, Monmouth, UNC Wilmington, Towson, Campbell, Drexel, Hofstra, Charleston, and UNC Wilmington in succession. The last three games have all been victories for the Hens however, as they’ve dispatched Stony Brook, Campbell, and William & Mary for a 15-19 overall run across 34 games this year.
In Sunday’s matchup versus William & Mary, the Hens were down by two points going into the second half. Delaware surged from there on a 53-29 run and took the victory in the end 100-78. Leading the team in scoring was John Camden with 36 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Erik Timko added 13 points with five rebounds and two assists, while Izaiah Pasha had 12 points with seven rebounds and eight assists in 37 minutes of work.
Towson Tigers Betting Preview
Over on the Towson side, they weren’t looking so hot in early January but since then it’s been a great run in the record column. The Tigers kicked things off with a shaky 6-9 run that lasted into the 2025 calendar year. Wins over Northeastern, Drexel, Hofstra, Stony Brook, North Carolina A&T, Northeastern, Delaware, Drexel, Stony Brook, Monmouth, Delaware, and Monmouth in succession came after that, then a loss to Elon. Since then Towson is 4-0 though, taking out Campbell, William & Mary, Hampton, and Drexel along the way. That gives the Tigers a 22-10 overall record across 32 games so far this year.
In the Drexel tournament matchup on Sunday, the Tigers came out of the first half with a 38-29 deficit. Towson was outscored 47-44 the rest of the way but held on for the win at the end 82-76. Topping the team in scoring during the victory was Dylan Williamson with 32 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Tyler Tejada added 21 points with three rebounds and one steal, while Nendah Tarke led the bench scoring nine points, two assists, and two rebounds.

Delaware vs Towson Prediction
I’ll probably stick with the Tigers, but this should be a pretty fun matchup regardless. Towson took out a pretty decent Drexel team in their last outing, shooting 48.3 percent from the field with 9-of-20 (45 percent) from 3-point range. The Tigers gave up 50 percent shooting on the other side and missed six of their 13 free throws (53.8 percent) but the 40-28 rebounding edge and minimal turnovers (five) helped spur the victory. That gives Towson four straight wins with 75 or more points scored in each.
These teams have met twice before, with Towson getting the win both times: 76-66 (home) on January 30 and 75-70 (road) on February 13. The Hens have picked up their game over the last three outings though, scoring 79 or more points in each of those victories. Still, the Tigers should still have the advantage as the better team on paper. It’ll get interesting if Delaware can stay hot, though.
