Delaware Blue Hens Betting Preview
The Hens weren’t looking too bad in the record column back in mid-January, but since then it’s been a rough run. Delaware started out on a 7-7 stretch before taking wins over Monmouth, North Carolina A&T, Stony Brook, and Elon in the next five games. An ugly 1-11 record came in the next dozen outings though, with a lone win over William & Mary among losses to Hofstra, Drexel, Towson, Monmouth, UNC Wilmington, Towson, Campbell, Drexel, Hofstra, Charleston, and UNC Wilmington. The Hens stopped the bleeding with a tournament win over Stony Brook on Friday, though. In total that gives Delaware a 13-19 overall run through 32 games this year.
In their matchup versus Stony Brook on Friday, the Hens jumped out to a 50-34 halftime lead and managed to hang on for the win 80-76 after a 42-30 deficit from there. Leading team scorer Erik Timko finished with 19 points with five rebounds.
Campbell Camels Betting Preview
Over on the Campbell side, they had a nice run going in January and February but outside of that, they’ve struggled this year. The Camels opened up their season on a 7-11 run, beating only Pfeiffer, Newberry, Navy, Green Bay, the Citadel, Drexel, and Hampton during that time. Campbell would then hit a nice win streak over Monmouth, Stony Brook, Hofstra, William & Mary, Hofstra again, Elon, and North Carolina A&T. Since then, however, the Camels have just one win over Delaware. Otherwise, it’s been losses to Northeastern, North Carolina A&T, Towson, UNC Wilmington, and Charleston. That gives the Camels a 15-16 overall run across 31 games so far this season.
In the Charleston matchup last weekend, the Camels were blitzed 41-26 in the opening half. Campbell didn’t get any closer on a 46-39 run from there and took the blowout loss in the end 87-65. Topping the team in scoring was Colby Duggan with 19 points and three rebounds. Cam Gregory added 12 points with six boards and seven assists, while both Elijah Walsh (four rebounds; two steals) and Nolan Dorsey (eight rebounds; three assists; three steals) each chipped in 11 points during the losing effort.

Delaware vs Campbell Prediction
I’ll take a stab at Campbell, but I’m probably staying away from this one. The Camels haven’t looked very good lately, including in a blowout loss to a good Charleston team in their last outing. Campbell shot just 38.7 percent from the field in that one while giving up 54 percent on the other side. The 39-30 rebounding deficit and 12 turnovers for 19 Cougars points didn’t help, either. That makes four straight losses for the Camels, with fewer than 68 points scored in each.
These teams last met back on February 15 in a 96-91 road victory for the Camels. Campbell worked their way back from a 46-38 halftime deficit in that one, and both teams shot very well (59.6 percent for the Camels and 65.5 percent for the Hens). Campbell enjoyed a dominant 31-17 edge on the boards and hit 22 of their 24 foul shots (91.7 percent) to help guide the victory. Delaware will be pulling out all the stops in this rematch so I wouldn’t be surprised to see another competitive game. Should be a fun one to watch.
