Dayton woke up from there, hitting a nice 47-21 advantage on the way to a big win 78-51. De’Shayne Montgomery led the team with 21 points and two rebounds, while Javon Bennett added 19 points with four assists and two boards. Jaiun Simon chipped in with 14 points, six rebounds and three assists as well.
La Salle Explorers Betting Preview
Over on the La Salle side, they’ve had a rough year. The Explorers could only muster four wins over their first 10 games, then hit a losing streak versus Long Island U, High Point, Michigan, George Mason and George Washington. La Salle is 2-2 in their last four games with wins over Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure, however. That gives the Explorers a 6-13 record in their first 19 outings of the season.
Matched up against St. Bonaventure on Saturday, the Explorers were up 38-37 by the end of the first half. La Salle kept it going from there on a 40-37 run and eventually took the home victory 78-74. Jerome Brewer topped the team in scoring with 27 points, six rebounds and two assists, while Jaeden Marshall was close behind on 23 points, three rebounds and two assists. Rob Dockery added 10 points and six assists in the win.

I might take a stab on the Explorers here but I’ll probably just stay away. La Salle posted a nice home win over a pretty decent St. Bonaventure team in their last outing, shooting a stellar 58.1 percent from the field, 57.1 percent (8-of-14) from outside and a perfect 20-of-20 from the line. The Explorers had a 25-19 rebounding advantage but did cough up 17 turnovers along the way. La Salle is 2-2 over their last four games, and they’ve scored 72 or more points in three of those four.
As for Dayton, they started out slowly in their recent home win over Loyola but closed on a nice run. The Flyers eventually shot 44.2 percent from the field with 43.5 percent (10-of-23) from 3-point range and 78.6 percent (22-of-28) from the line. Dayton is riding a five-game win streak right now and should be in control here as well. I think La Salle has a shot at getting in there if they can keep the scoring up, though.
