Dayton kicked off the season on a pretty nice 6-1 run, featuring a lone loss to Cincinnati as the blemish. The Flyers would lose two of three games versus BYU and Virginia after that, then beat North Florida and Florida State before a loss to Liberty. Dayton vs Duquesne Prediction
I’ll stick with Dayton. The Flyers dispatched a pretty good George Washington team in a home matchup last week despite a slow start. Dayton shot a tepid 41.8 percent from the field but made up for it with a nice 27-of-30 (90 percent) effort at the line and just eight turnovers. The Flyers have won five of their last six games, scoring 70 or more in four of the five victories along the way.
As for Duquesne, they posted a valiant effort on the road versus Saint Joseph’s in their last outing but came up just short. The Dukes shot 45.9 percent from the field and 86.7 percent (13-of-15) from the line but also coughed up 14 turnovers and gave up 48.5 percent shooting on defense. Duquesne is scoring great over their last six games with 75 or more points in each. The Dukes are just 3-3 in that stretch, though.
