Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Betting Preview
The Chanticleers weren’t able to keep their heads above the .500 mark through 17 games, notching a spotty 8-9 run in that time. Coastal Carolina has beaten App State, Marshall, Georgia Southern, Texas State, Southern Miss, LA-Monroe and UMass in the nine games since then though. Over 26 outings so far that gives the Chanticleers a 15-11 record in the books.
In the UMass game last weekend, the Chanticleers were sitting on a 32-21 deficit on their home floor at halftime. Coastal Carolina managed to tie it up and force overtime, though. After three extra periods, the Chanticleers walked away with a hard-fought win 94-91. RaSheed Jones posted 26 points with four rebounds and four assists while AJ Dancler had 24 points and eight boards.
Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Betting Preview
Over on the Cajuns’ side, they were only able to win one of their first dozen games this year in a very rough start. Louisiana beat LA-Monroe, Norfolk State, LA-Monroe again and South Alabama over a 4-5 run in the next nine. The Cajuns have since beaten Georgia State, Georgia Southern, James Madison and Central Michigan in the last four, giving the team a 9-16 record so far.
In the Central Michigan game on Saturday the Cajuns were in the locker room with a 42-38 deficit in a home matchup. Louisiana woke up in the second half on a 47-38 run and took the comeback victory in the end 85-80. De’Vion Lavergne was tops on 19 points with three rebounds and three assists. Karris Bilal added 16 points and Dariyus Woodson had 14 points

Coastal Carolina vs Louisiana Prediction
I’ll lean toward Louisiana but I’m not touching it. The Cajuns don’t have the greatest record in the world but they’re playing better lately. Louisiana shot 51.7 percent from the field with 84.2 percent (16-of-19) from the line and 50 percent (9-of-18) from 3-point range in their latest home win over Central Michigan. The Cajuns gave up 57.1 percent shooting on the other side, though. Louisiana has won four straight games now, scoring 69 or more points in three of those.
As for Coastal Carolina, they eked past a pretty good UMass team in a triple-overtime thriller during their last outing. The Chanticleers shot 42.7 percent in that one with 50 rebounds and 13 team assists. Coastal has won two of their last three games and seven of their last nine overall. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Chanticleers power one out here either.
