Clemson Tigers Betting Preview

The Clemson Tigers enter Wednesday night’s contest with an 18–4 win-loss record, including an 8-1 mark in conference play and a 4-2 record on the road. The Tigers have compiled wins over New Hampshire, Gardner‑Webb, Morehead State, North Alabama, West Virginia, Alabama A&M and the Georgia Bulldogs, while dropping games to North Carolina State, Georgetown and the BYU Cougars. In the Clemson Tigers 97–94 overtime win over the Georgia Bulldogs earlier this season, Clemson guard Jestin Porter tallied 18 points on 7 of 14 shooting from the field and 4 of 9 shooting from three-point range. Porter also added 2 rebounds and 1 steal in the Tigers victory over Georgia.

The Clemson Tigers are averaging 76.5 points on 46.3 percent shooting from the field and 33.9 percent shooting from behind the arc per game. Defensively, the Tigers are allowing opponents just 64.5 points per game which ranks 10th in the country. The Tigers ability to slow tempo and force opponents into half‑court sets has been a defining strength for the team in 2025.

Junior forward Carter Welling has been a standout performer for the Clemson Tigers averaging 10.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.9 steals per game. Senior forward RJ Godfrey is averaging 12 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.7 steals per contest. Senior guard Jestin Porter leads the Tigers backcourt averaging 10.8 points, 2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

Stanford Cardinal Betting Preview

The Stanford Cardinal enter Wednesday’s matchup with a 10–12 record, including a 3–6 mark in conference play and a 9–5 record at home. The Cardinal have compiled wins over Colorado, San Jose State, Minnesota, Portland and the Montana Grizzlies, while losing recent games to Florida State, Miami, California and the Duke Blue Devils. Last month, in the Stanford Cardinal’s 77–68 victory over the Colorado Buffaloes, Stanford guard Ebuka Okorie amassed 32 points, shooting 6‑of‑13 from the field and 18‑of‑21 from the free‑throw line showcasing his ability to lead the Stanford offense.

The Stanford Cardinal average 75.9 points on 42.5 percent shooting from the field and 34.2 percent shooting from three-point range per game. On the defensive side of the basketball, the Cardinal are allowing opponents 73.5 points per contest.

Freshman guard Ebuka Okorie leads the Stanford Cardinal averaging 21.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Senior guard Benny Gealer contributes 10.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.9 steals per contest. Senior forward AJ Rohosy provides the Cardinal with a strong interior presence averaging 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 0.6 blocks per game.

Why the Clemson Tigers will win

 •           Elite Defense. In 22 games played this season, the Clemson Tigers are allowing opponents just 64.5 points per game which ranks 10th in the nation.

•            Balanced scoring. Porter, Welling, and Godfrey are all average over 10.7 points a game.

•            Ability to win on the road. The Clemson Tigers are 4-2 on the road in 2025.

Why the Stanford Cardinal will win

•             Home court advantage. The Stanford Cardinal have compiled a 9–5 record at home this season.

•             Interior presence. Senior forward AJ Rohosy provides the Cardinal with a strong interior presence averaging 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 0.6 blocks per game.

Clemson Tigers vs. Stanford Cardinal Prediction

This matchup features the Clemson Tigers’ frontcourt scoring and defensive stability against a Stanford team that has been stronger at home and owns a more efficient perimeter attack of the two teams in this matchup. In my view, Stanford’s home court edge, quality three‑point shooting and interior production present a difficult challenge for a Clemson team that has been inconsistent on the road this season. For the reasons just noted, I am backing the Stanford Cardinal plus the 3.5 points in this game.

Hans Geevers's Pick: Stanford +3.5
