I suppose I’ll lean toward Canisius, but I’m probably avoiding this one. The Griffins are coming off a flat effort against an admittedly good Buffalo squad—despite outscoring the Bulls 32-14 in the paint. Canisius shot just 37 percent from the field and 15 percent (3-of-20) from outside in that one, while giving up 41.5 percent shooting on the other side. That gives the Griffins fear than 61 points in four of the last five games, but they’ve managed to win three of those five.
As for Saint Peter’s, they hit just 32.8 percent from the field and 16.7 percent (4-of-24) from outside along with a 37-29 rebounding deficit in their latest loss to Dartmouth. The Peacocks have been below 69 points in three of the last four themselves (and below 71 in all four), going 1-3 in that quartet. I could see this game being close if the score stays relatively low.
