Wake Forest Demon Deacons Betting Preview
Over on the Wake Forest side, they’ve managed to keep themselves above .500 through six games—but just barely. The Demon Deacons kicked things off with a couple of victories, taking out American U and Morehead State. Since then however, it’s been a 2-2 run. Wake Forest has losses to Michigan and Texas Tech in that time alongside wins over UMass Lowell and Memphis for a 4-2 run through the first half-dozen outings.
In the Memphis game back on Friday, the Demon Deacons held a 33-27 deficit going into the second half. I’ll probably just stick with Wake Forest here. The Deacons played a slow first half versus Memphis, but to their credit bounced back well from there. Wake ended up showing just 37.7 percent from the floor but didn’t do too badly from the line (14-of-19) and were competitive on the boards with a 33-32 deficit. The Deacons did have 14 turnovers and weren’t great from outside (9-of-33 for 27.3 percent). Still, they’ve only got two losses to top-ranked teams on the card thus far. Wake is doing well.
As for Campbell, they ended up shooting 46.2 percent from the floor in their comeback win over Texas-Arlington. The Camels had 16 turnovers though, and hit just 19-of-32 (59.4 percent) from the line. It’s going to take a much sharper effort to keep up with the Deacons here.
