Brown vs Lehigh Prediction
I suppose I’ll lean toward Lehigh but this one’s a coin flip. The Hawks got beaten pretty badly by what should be a solid Saint Louis team in their opener, shooting just 36 percent from the field and 19 percent from 3-point range. Lehigh gave up 60 percent shooting from the field on defense and trailed for 94 percent of the game. In their second matchup versus Cornell things went better in a seven-point win. That said, Lehigh didn’t shoot so great with just 37 percent from the field. They’ve got to find a good offensive rhythm early for Sunday’s matchup.
As for Brown, they didn’t play all that well in their first outing of the year versus New Hampshire. The Bears posted an okay 42 percent from the field and 32 percent (6-of-19) from outside but missed some free throws (50 percent on 7-of-14) and had 16 turnovers along the way. The good news is that Brown held New Hampshire to just 33 percent shooting and led for most of the game. The bad news is that they couldn’t hold it together at the end. In game two versus Boston U, the Bears were competitive again but still recorded another loss. Brown shot just 39 percent from the field and 61 percent (11-of-18) from the free throw line, adding 15 turnovers and 48 percent shooting allowed on defense. The good news is that Brown put up a solid rebounding effort (34) and that will serve them well here.
